Rubber Roof Care

Have you ever seen a plastic bottle after it has been laying out in the sun for a long time? It is brittle and cracks easily. This same process is affecting the rubber roof of your RV. Years of brutal, hot sun beating down on the RV will eventually destroy the rubber if not taken care of properly! Just like a woman who washes her face and puts on moisturizer, cleaning and treating your rubber roof will improve the condition of your rubber roof and extend its life.

Rubber Roof Treatment reduces chalking that causes ugly gray streaks down the side of the vehicle creating more frequent cleanups. Roof chalk is a by-product of the rubber material that occurs most often when a rubber roof is exposed to excessive moisture and heat.

Enhanced Protect All RUBBER ROOF TREATMENT with UV Protectant is a blend of proven polyolefin compounds engineered specifically to retard roof chalking, minimize maintenance and provide additional protection that can help extend the life of the rubber roof membrane. The tough polymer anti-static coating creates a durable shield that keeps dirt and grime from sticking.

Depending on environmental conditions, it is recommended that rubber roof cleaning and treating should be performed at least annually.

This is a two part process. First the rubber roof is thoroughly cleaned, and all the seals are visually inspected for leaks. Then the UV Protectant is applied. Once the process is completed, you truly can see and feel the difference in the condition of the rubber.
